CPU - 6 Years (Pentium 3)
Monitor Since 1995 ( It was a 17 Inch and my dad bought it for RM 3K and it was the biggest monitor you can get at that time.. He was working as an architect so he required a big monitor). This monitor has been passed down to me and used it for 17 years . Actually during 2006 when i bought a new PC, i bought a LCD monitor but it only last for 2 year and in year 2008, i used back this baby and it managed to serve for another 4 year :)
Shopping in Digital Mall.. Initially i suspected it was the power supply failure. Bought the power supply and monitor and eagerly went home to install it but unfortunate it was not able to boot.. Oh no.. it could be even worse than i anticipated.. I brought my whole CPU and ask them to check and the vendor mention the Motherboard is fried... Then i requested whether there was a replacement motherboard and they mention this kind of model already obsolete.. It got me really worried and i ask what is the solution.. He mention need to change motherboard and mention that all my components which are using IDE such as my hard disk, CD ROM ,D2 - Ram and Processor requires to change.. Wow then i answered what is the difference buying a new computer. The vendor sarcastically mentioned " Well the difference you still can use your newly power supply which you bought this morning and casing" ..
At last no choice bought a new computer with the cost of RM 1.4K...
Monitor ( 21 inch)
CPU with Cool Master Casing ( 6 Blow In fan and 1 output fan) to avoid overheat again :)
Need to get money from KLSE....
Wow! 6 years! Your old unit served its purpose well. Congrats on your new pc. Don’t forget to run Defragment at least once a month. This will keep your hard drive healthy, prevent crashes, and maximize your virtual space.

It took your computer six years before it totally gave up. Not bad, though. And you used the monitor for 17 years! Wow! It was definitely way too old, but it did perform after all. Anyhow, your current PC really looks modern, huh! ;) You’ll definitely enjoy those up-to-the-minute applications on your computer for sure!
